Through experience working with CPS, the Foster Care System, experience Fostering children, and directly working with Caseworkers, Guardian Ad Litem (GALs), Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) workers, RTEAMLISA has witnessed firsthand the critical gaps and available support for those in need. RTEAMLISA has seen teens aging out of the system, with no safety net, often pushed out of reputable programs, and limited support providers for not qualifying.

The lack of support perpetuates a cycle where families repeatedly become involved with Child Protective Services (CPS) because they lack the necessary resources for a stable and successful future. Many vulnerable individuals in Ohio face significant barriers to stable housing and self-sufficiency. These issues are things such as homelessness, substance abuse, mental health challenges, involvement within the justice system, becoming subject to human trafficking, returning to environments they once were removed from, due to the difficulties, the lack of knowing any different, becoming hopeless, uncertain of better options and avenues, in part due to the lack of access to the resources needed to break the cycle of struggle.

RTEAMLISA’s goal is to facilitate positive transitions and promote lasting independence in an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported in their journey towards self-sufficiency, and a stable future.

Our vision is to create a community living environment that provides essential resources, focusing on individualized programs to enhance one’s knowledge of life skills required, provide mental health support, and opportunities for growth to break the cycle, and offer a brighter future for all Involved.

RTEAMLISA strives to revolutionize transitional housing for vulnerable populations here in Ohio, and provide affordable, supportive community-centered environments that enhance the lives of individuals by providing tailored support services for future success and sustainability.
